The Meantime

May sights suit you well
Have you smile for a moment
It passes and you resume
Resume to being one
with the emotions of stone.
Smile for me?
Show me you can fake it
Or perhaps mean it
Though there is nothing to smile at.
All the little things that we hold so dear
It's always those little things that we end up to fear
It's like ice cream
How you feed and it soon melts away
Melts in your mouth
Like the foolish wish you had on being happy.
It's like water
How you use it to refreshen yourself
It leaves you for the air
Only to come back again when you need it most

Smile for me
Perhaps laugh
Show me you can find humor
In such saddening things
That you can ignore those that cause your tears to draw forever
To see the things
That only last for the meantime.
It's like that window
That you see everything through
And that you may never touch
Just because of that window
Hide your fears for me
And show me you can get rid of them
By being happy
Whether it's false or not
Whether it's forced or not
Be my blessing
You can frown and cry afterwards
