Since She Left

I hold my head amongst the shadows in a room occupied by one
Softly lit by burning candles and a cigarette from off my tongue
My how the days can run, as your left alone behind
The solitude could bother you when you dont agree with time
I cant perceive a time when this room was filled by two
Layed pictures on their faces to ignore the grace of you
The decor is shades of blue...but not the color of this loft
The lover has been lost so now I suffer at her cost
A summer turned to frost...This house is not a home
I seem to scour for her tone but only found that im alone
Besides the gown that she once owned and the heart that pounds beneath these bones
Theres no trace around to feel shes known...she took it all when she left
Left my heart but took my breath, left me in dark with this cigarette...
And ever since ive been a wreck, I check her status on the internet
Just to see if shes finished yet..."Going out to dinner(giddy)" was her mood
I havent eatin since shes moved yet shes being seated for some food?!
I take a puff and let it soothe...As I sit amongst the shadows
Softly lit by burning candles and her facedown pictures on the mantel...

    Powerful emotions here lead me to say " I feel ya brother". I had a little trouble trying to find a rhythm to this however. I think that may be because you wrote this as a song?

    In any case
