Upon The Wind

Missing image
UPON THE WIND

Oh child of moon child of light,
gather stardust mid snowy night.
Bring to life that what has died,
pain and darkness dwell inside.

Let my magic spell bring forth,
fly love to me oh wind of north.
Save him from hands of death,
sound from grave, final breath.

Rise this night, bring him near,
return to me on midnight clear.
Melt snow let winds blow free,
from death come back to me.

Let spirits take hold this night,
senses dance, love takes flight.
Into the cold wind spell is cast,
undo the evil from the past .

Spell bring forth, sear two souls,
this night let love make us whole.
Call to you neath frozen ground,
in life, in death, forever bound.

This has to be a winner between the pic and the write...It is so original! Just as the prayer is..A prayer for her love. There is alot of work you have done on this write to make it as the poems of a woman with the spell in prayer to bring him home! Bravo!

Ahhhh fantasy! many get confused, betwen fantasy and reality. but so is life and dreams and heartaches, as we strive to get the best love and have it returned as long as we live. Love is most beautiful thing to possess and share, giving it to one that you love and cherish is marvelous. Thank you friend.

The first stanza is my favourite. It's really interesting because Moonchild is my magickal/pagan name and light is my element. I'm glad you chose this picture because I personally love this one a lot.

The rhyme is excellent and flows well and freely, it does not feel forced. I also think it's interesting how you interpeted this pic by thinking of wind.

Thank you so much for entering my contest!

    Blessings & Light,
    ~Evolet

It's almost like a fairytale, and what a wonderful tale it is. It flows and has good rhythm, and feeds the imagination. You really made that picture come to life too. Good luck in the contest.

Very ethereal and soft. The lack of really tactile imagery works well with the dreamlike feel of this piece. Nice rhyming scheme too.

    Good job.

What a lovely fantasy. The rhyme and movement is smooth and the reader is caught up in the moment to save the one from death as the spell is cast. The picture is wonderfully fluid and the poem leaves images for the reader to engulf. I wish you the very best of luck with this work to charm all who read it.

    Gosh.
I read this twice and then again and each time I said it out loud and the louder I said it I felt as though I was standing in mist of the snow and singing this melody.

    Absolutely beautiful
    Best of luck

    Stay safe
    Love to you
