I know that nothing is forever.
Something always happens to change plans,
And makes us come face to face with 'never'
As we do things we said we'd never do.
Happiness isn't something that's bought.
It is not a thing that we dream up,
Nor is it some cloud that can be caught.
It's not as simple as that.
Happiness is loving life as we have it-
Embracing the simple joys of living,
Even those little things that don't fit
And the people that drive us mad.
While this happiness is only temporary,
I have all I need in life today.
I don't a spell from a witch or fairy,
All I need is the life that I have.

I like this especially your third stanza. "and the people that drive us mad" I know what you mean

I would prefer this poem to do more showing and less telling, but it is still a sweet write. Thank you for the entry. -
I will comment later, but is there a word missing in line 15? I don't (need?) a spell from a witch or fairy
