Another day
children at school,
but soon the skies
terrorists would rule.
Twin towers hit
the blast was fierce
and safety of the world
now pierced.
All fell silent
in disbelief,
then tears fell fast
in pain and grief.
The world forever
changed this day,
as freedom had now
gone astray.
Now trust and faith
are all in doubt,
of peace there seems
to be a drought.
No going back
we live in fear,
the future now
not very clear.
Face each new day
this is a must
and maybe there'll be
future trust.
