I was once told
You'll always be my friend
And you will be there
Until the bitter end
But then my life got rough
My body broke right down
You left me beside that street
Never to be found
9 days I lie
In that Hospital bed
Soon to realize
That I was misled
Then when I return
I was already pronounced dead
Because you looked through me
As if I lost my head
The next few month's
I stand casted aside
Until I was told
That its time to say goodbye
I leave the Army
With my head held up high
knowing this now
I will never drop down and cry
For this poem has happiness
Because now I am rich
With people who care
And I'm away from that bitch
I have friends who call
From here or far away
They ask or text me
How is your day
So no longer am I down
I'm as happy as can be
Because I found out the truth
Life is as easy as 1,2,3

I really loved this write. I can relate so much. When I was 16, I found out I had cancer for the second time. And while I was in the hospital, and in a coma for almost 2 weeks, I found out about my best friends visited, but not the one I thought loved me. Which really hurt. I ditched him and finished chemo alone, without the support of him. Which made me a stronger person in the end. Awww now you have me crying! This is a truly awesome write.

wow...that's one of the best pieces I've read this month/day.It sounds like you were best friends with someone, then you left for the army, they ditched you, and you came back, you are a ghost to them, but you don't care anymore.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what it sounds like.
