Dawn

A gentle breeze
A slight whisper in the trees branches
Gently welcoming it.

The sun
Gently carassing it
Warming it
Strengthening it.

The rain
Musky
Slightly drizzling
Dripping off of it
Nourishing it.

It raises its sun kissed face
Toward the welcoming sky
A calm light blue.

And ever so
S
L
O
W
L
Y
Opens it's hardened shell.

Too long it has been held prisoner
In its hard green casing.

Now
It's free to live.

A rose
Blooming
Ever so beautiful
Completely unaware.

Opening its heart to the world.

As the Earth tremmers one word

Hope.

Author notes

All right, let's admit it, I write A LOT of depressing poetry. I don't know, it's something that just comes easy to me in this phase of life and after a lot of stuff. I decided to take a break from that kind of theme and put this one up. I hope you like it, I'm not all that good with warm poetry, but I gave it a shot.
