Summer

She shivered
When she moved in bed,
And the covers
Let in the cold.

It was winter.

But her eyes held him
Like lips
On lips-

And just looking
Made her warmer.

And when he shifted,
And put his arms around her-
And drowsily they became
One warmth,
In two parts-

Like a play is one story,
    In two parts-

The winter seemed
A feeble tale.

I love this. "The winter seemed/A feeble tale"...beautiful. Crazy how when love comes along it can make everything before it seem silly and unimportant. Now all that matters is the warmth felt inside. "And just looking/Made her warmer" Great job!
