In sad twilight of some dark night
Lost thoughts flee an empty soul
Gone is the strength of hope
Forgotten are any memories of love
Broken and burned remnants amount to little
Scavenged from an already lifeless shell
Barely held in place by desperation of will
Sought to be ravaged at every turn
What that does not break binds tighter
Forced together out of necessity
Suffered to writhe under ruthless control
Resolute will still commands obedience
Yet faith can offer no comfort
Sheer will cannot hold out for long
Doomed from the very beginning
Fate will have its revenge

wow. your vocabulary is once again incredible. i like your poems a lot for they have such a way of saying it. making a normal sentence into something so jawdropping. great job once again. i liked this one stanza in this poem:
Broken and burned remnants amount to little
Scavenged from an already lifeless shell
Barely held in place by desperation of will
Sought to be ravaged at every turn
great job =) i enjoyed reading this, you really inspire me to expirement.

A lot of the time, inspiration can be such a fickle thing. I can relate to having weeks (months even
) where it just isn't there, so I am glad that you can take something from what I wrote.

wise wise words....
very inspiring and filled my imagination with all kinds
of imagery and metaphor.
Fate's revenge..."apathy" really gave us a tasty dark
meal to chew upon...filled with golden truth to crack
our souls back to feeling life!
well written, deep soul, wise too!
ears/Seattle way to write!
