Unbeknown-st to the stars
I dwell in pitch.
Obtaining turgid glory
from creatures below.
This hull of beauty afloat
barren of spirit, soul
seeking entrance;
into its vile portals
smelling the stench
of burning flesh.
All the elements of love
fazed me not
in my dementia of stormy
gales, I pondered
the choice;
isolation from life.
I will triumphed
in precious blackness
forevermore.

Oh, mother mine, it's simply gorgeous. It captures the picture perfectly, doesn't overwhelm it, and it appears that the picture was created to go along with the poem, not the other way around.
Again, extremely gorgoeous!
Love always and forever

Such a dark poem from a beautiful picture.
Thank you. I enjoyed it.

Dark!
That I didn't expect from such a picture. I'll have to keep tabs on you. Dark fantasies are some of my favorite writes and your imagination is given great rein in this one. Solitude has its moments.

That was wickedly rich and such
a dark fantasy writing meal to enjoy!
All the elements of love
fazed me not
in my dementia of stormy
gales, I pondered
the choice;
isolation from life.
I will triumphed
in precious blackness
forevermore.
BRAVO! BRAVO!...that was truly bold and fearless
writing!

Wow, what a beautiful poem! I love the fact that you chose that picture, it's so breath-taking isn't it? And inspires one greatly!
I think the way you interpreted the picture is very unique. You managed to capture the essence of her sorrow you can tell in her facial expression and that she's lying on her back.
I especially love this stanza:
"All the elements of love
fazed me not
in my dementia of stormy
gales"
The ending sums the poem up in a very witty way and I like the word combination of "blackness forevemore", it sounds so gothic and reminds me of the Victorian Ages for some reason!
Thanks so much for entering my contest!

Again, stunning and beautiful writing from my dear friend here. Your imagery stands out a mile. This one was quite dark too. And you have conveyed what you were trying to get across to the reader well. Very well done Novy.
