Whatever happened to the honeybee’s sting?
The arm in a sling?
The ears that would ring?
But kids don’t climb those trees anymore;
Hooray for the painless world.
You don’t dare go out in that sun.
Whatever happened to fun?
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living.
Whatever happened to the blackened eye?
Boys that don’t cry?
Dirty as pigs in a sty?
But kids can’t play that rough anymore;
Hooray for the painless world.
Sit em down in front of the TV,
watching someone else’s realty.
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living.
Whatever happened to bikes that would crash?
The helmetless gash?
The teeth that would gnash?
But kids don’t go that fast anymore;
Hooray for the painless world.
Don’t let them go in over their head,
Just wade in instead.
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living.
Whatever happened to some sacrifice?
Just putting on a little ice?
And I’m not telling you twice?
But kids can’t take a chance anymore;
Hooray for the painless world.
Keep them under the doctor’s wing,
There’s a pill for everything.
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living.
What have we taught our kids about life,
In a world without strife?
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living.

WOW
I like this a LOT. I totally agree with the message.
"Sit em down in front of the TV,
watching someone else’s realty.
Its all taking and no giving,
In a world of painless living." That just takes the cake. I love it. Great job!
