I have this gorgeous friend,
You see.
But she fails to notice
Just how beautiful she is.
With a heart of gold,
She never turns her back on anyone.
Always willing to give
a helping hand.
A cute button nose,
Lovely long hair.
To be honest,
A body just to die for.
Within this adorable
piece of art,
Is a very awful flaw.
She looks in the mirror,
And see's a massive whale.
She imagines stretch marks
and cellulite.
This is my ode to you, dear friend.
You are beautiful the way you are!
Don't change anything.
We love you for you, nobody else.
Author notes
"Beauty extends beyond a size 0". My friend has quite a small frame, yet says she needs to loose weight. It makes most people uncomfortable because she is the smallest of our group of friends.

i understand compleatly. this sounds alot like one of my friends. she's tall and slender and very pretty but she thinks she's fat and and ugly and every time she says that i tell her it's not true, among others. thank you for entering my contest
