On the Verge

Seams of your dress thins
in between my finger tips,
as they glide across
your hips and your core, which starts
stirring to beats of feeling.

Skin pulses further
down that I go, exploring,
singeing, opening,
and learning, the ways of your
body, mind, and that sweet soul.

Hesitation grows
within our minds, to try and
break concentration,
or signal our brains that we
need an alternate desire.

Still growing within
our cores, tripled to extreme
levels of needing
and want, to consume us in
our last shred of common sense.

Minds click at inaudible rates,
loud enough though to send sparks near
and throughout our nerves,
so as to prepare us for
what we are about to do.

  • I love the imagery. The great sensual imagery that you brought to this poem. Subtle, yes, but not lacking of it's hidden erotic ways.

    Well, how unique of you.

This is a very interesting write. You're definitely on a whole different level than most people here. As a matter of fact, since you're on SUCH a different level than the rest of us measely humans, I'm not entirely sure what to say. So, to make up for my inability to say something witty about your poem, shower you with praise, or critize you about something, I'll just make you a finalist.

    Yay you!

This is really different, I must say. I can't tell if I really like it or not. It sure is a unique write, and way different than all of the other entries, which I like. This is really descriptive and sweet. Thank you for entering our contest.

Very sensual and subtly sexy. I love the sense of drawn out anticipation, the accelerated pulse, the texture in the first two lines. Throw caution to the wind. Well done!
