Paul

Whip me, toss me, flail me, leach me,
Don’t hold back , just let it fly.
Hook me to a whale and beach me!
Stick in a fork and leave me lie!
You use me to clean up dark sticky messes,
my name is in ruins and that’s for sure,
You spend my good nature in moneyed caresses
of fine aged spirits and expensive liquor.
You absorbed my life like a big sponge ball!
Why use cotton when you can use Paul?

    OUCH...

This poor li'l masterpiece needs a shot in the heart - of kindness and gentleness. I hope you win a trophy in this contest, but if not, that's OK, because you won another poet's sincere respect! This is a terrific poem!! Take care, and keep on keeping on!!! Peace, Cyn
