Just one evening embrace~

And she discovered after years..
that her life was just a fiction
so she decided to leave
behind all the shadows,
the wind's songs
and the cry of the stones..
And just let her boat sail
to the unknown world
and in the soundless
shimmering ocean..
She found her soul identifying
with the whispers of the waves
and down beyond ..
wisdom was found..
And within the sands of time
Fate started rolling
into the shores..
revealing deep yearning of her soul
to just one evening embrace
under the moon..

You write of yearning with perfection...I can 'feel' it here...Another soulful write, but this one also feels tremendously lonely to me...a seeking for companion, perhaps?...I'm not sure...but it moves me down deep. Which is what makes me love this write. Poetry should touch the soul, and move the heart in some fashion, don't you think?...Excellent write. Peace, Rhonda

    Imagery was astounding...

we could feel her soulful journey...as fate started rolling into the shores...revealing deep yearning of
    her soul!
Identifying the whispers of the waves and down beyond
where wisdom was to be found.

    way to write!
I betcha we all read it two or three times to really
drink it in and enjoy the fullness of this poem!
    ears2hearyou/Seattle BRAVO! BRAVO!

The em-bracer, embraced and the moon; one, one, One!

Another beautiful write from you Ruby and this one feels just as sincere yet lighter hearted, perhaps in acceptance. An acceptance which doesn't diminish the yearning but one which accepts its reality, with far less associative substitution.

    Excellent write!

    Outstanding!

Such a calming soothing poem! Love the imagery and the message. The longing and fulfillment of wisdom and awareness. Still recognizing the need of a companion. Excellent job on this beautiful piece! Don

    Very Nice

I can really relate to this. I love the ending, so true of us who are getting on in years and are alone.
