Life got tough
and only got tougher
I tried to sheild you from it
Creating a lil buffer
Filled my emotions
with lil 'happy' pills
Drowned my tears
laughter on hills
Many friends had I
close friends, none
We louted about
I had begun to have fun
Finally, some cheer
to take away the fear
of loosing the plot
happiness was saught
But it was fake
My family life at stake
for drugs cannot create
nor make, a person happy
happiness was a mistake disguised...
