The Day Oliver Died

No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
Perhaps his friends didn't notice
Or they had more important things to do
No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
They all where too busy
Forgetting what friendship was
No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
Running away it was his problem not theirs
Why should their lives be interrupted
No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
There was more pressing matters
Such as the newest New York fashion trends
No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
It took a day for him to be forgotten
No one gathered to mourn the day Oliver died
They all had better things to do…

    pretty sad poem indeed..
and the repetitions give a great effect and stresses on the sadness..
honest poem and full of feelings, which makes it go rite into the heart of the reader..
