Bring it on, I say
adversity ignites a defiant flame
I can feel it in my gut
Bring it, baby-
Because Fate ain't got nothin on me!
Life is throwin punches
But I'm not stayin down!
I'll start over- a thousand times
before I'll ever give up.
Roll me, I'm not afraid-
'checkin out' is not my style
Bring it, baby-
'Cause I can't lose.
Author notes
Starting over isn't always easy, but it's always interesting.

I knew all that!
Loved the poetry, but I've read it line by line before....in your eyes, rather than on a page; in the way you look squarely in the face of whatever the moment brings your way. I have heard it in your humor...the way no tragedy is ever too big for your laughter to be willing to tackle or whittle into manageable size. So, I ask you, gf.....what's new?
PS - Missed you....and all that grit and grin! -
I am strong!
New beginnings are exactly that Tills...new beginnings. Good or bad? Who knows? Who cares? Good and bad are just retrospective evaluations of situations that have passed. Converging and diverging lives are all part of the journey. Just remember it's about the journey and not the destination. Those proverbial bumps in the road remind us that we are very much alive and as you so aptly state, "checkin out" is not your style.
Repeat after me..."I am strong, I am strong, I am strong" Believe it!
Smiling softly in the heart,
Henri

Success in life is merely getting up
one more time than you're knocked down...
