I see the tears fall down your face
and the deep sadness in your blue eyes.
I want to hold you close in my arms
and tell you that I am sorry.
Promise you that everything will be better
and that you are as beautiful as the rain.
Because you are as beautiful as the rain.
I love to look upon your face.
Of amends no one does it better
then us when we meet eye to eye
with the deep need to say we are sorry,
then fall into each other's arms.
We gather comfort in each other's arms.
The touch refreshes, like a Summer rain.
Do you feel my emotions when I say sorry?
Can you see the truth across my face?
I have seen the sorrow within your eyes
and would do anything to make you feel better.
When our love is right there is nothing better
and I can feel forever within your arms.
There is an endless rainbow within your eyes
that always comes after the rain.
I see fair mornings within your face
and there is no need to be sorry.
Yet there are things for which I am sorry.
The times I could not make things better.
When I could no take sorrow from your face
or could not hold you within my arms.
I felt the coldness of that gray rain
and felt shame that I couldn't dry your eyes.
Nor could you dry my sad eyes
and I know that you were sorry.
For my tears fell, like a hard rain
and nothing could make it better.
Even the expanse of your arms
could not take the pain off my face.
I've seen your face as a beautiful rain
My arms always made you feel better.
When I could not my eyes always said sorry.

Hmmm... I can't say I'm familiar with the form you've used here, but this is lovely. More sad than dark, but it definitely has those moments that make the reader stop and gasp with sadness. Well done, and thank you for entering.
