You think you have checkmate but I will prove you wrong.
I have been in plain sight and worked on the investigation all along.
You believe I am Kira but where is the evidence?
The rest of the task force won't connect the dots since they are too dense.
All they will see is that I am Chief Yagami's son and nothing more.
I will get your name and make you suffer like many of my victims from before.
You are represented by the letter N and you like to play mind games.
The voice and the name are different but in my memory I go back to the still frames.
While I was confined the killings temporarily stopped and L continued to believe I was guilty.
Criminals died again soon after but according to the rules of the notebook I should be set free.
The police finally had to release me since I couldn't kill anyone in jail.
I had the last laugh since L had failed.
Once I got his name I knew I had to take him out.
Since there was a chance a fellow officer would see my innocence as something to doubt.
L suffered a heart attack and collapsed in front of everyone's eyes.
I pretended to be hurt by this development as I continued my guise.
However behind the letter N and your computerized voice you believe that I am guilty.
I could kill you but your replacement would pursue me and I would never be free.
No matter where I go I see his face following my ways of wanton.
I know he is dead but never forgotten.

I am not a member of the group Anime Lovers.

This poem is about a show called Death Note. It is about Light Yagami who is helping the investigation only to suit his purposes. Behind the scenes he is Kira and L was brought in to ctach him but died by Kira's hand. So now Near another invesitgator is L's replacement and vows to bring down Kira as well. His mannerisms are very similar to L's and because of that Light sees L even though he knows he killed him. There is another new episode early sunday at 12:30 a.m. on cartoon network.
