This world is cold
I gaze at Aurora bright
Lighting up a cold dark night
Mist covers an enchanted land
Where the forest speaks
And he rides through the trees
Master of all he sees
His heart aflame with love
And all is here because of him
And through the mist
The mansion appears like dreamland
Filling up my senses
Aurora moves behind it in shades of green
And singing gently in the woods
I hear the sounds of enchantment
He walks with me to this place
Where Autumn is forever
I made this world just for him
The piper leads you on
Enchanted gardens come and go
And whisper romantic dreams in twilight
Leading you into their rose beds
And he smiles with dark enchantment
His world is cold but magical
And all my life will end for him
As the leaves fall
I dance in the world I made for him
Shades of brown and gold
Flicker in the sundown
And the frost takes hold upon the ground
Stimulating dreams untold it covers
Grass and trees and dying flowers cold
Aurora shines like nothing you can imagine
He rides his enchanted horse through
And upon the hill, the horse rears up
And the silhouette fills my mind
And all my life will end for him
I made this world... just for him

You have made a myth
from a myth. I have always thought of Aurora as female from my knowledge of the story of Eos (Greek), Goddess of the Dawn. The Romans changed 'Eos' to the Latin, Aurora. But your "he" is the Aurora Borealis by the reference to shimmering green, I think ~ the Northern Lights.
Thank you for this contribution.

Good imagery in this piece. Nice story. I did have a bit of a hard time following it though. Perhaps a bit of punctuation would have helped it read a bit smoother, but all in all not bad. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
