Tis But a Season

Death does not steal our loved ones away,
Nor does he forbid us to ever see their smiling faces again.
Death is a messenger who wraps the dying in Jesus' love,
Cradles them in comfort and joy abounding, removing all earthly strife.
Our sons, brothers, mothers and friends are now safely with the Lord,
In perfection, filled with joy, beautiful beyond our comprehension.
They wait for us, just on the other side,
And watch over us from their celestial homes.
Ever present in our daily lives,
Aware of our every pain and even our grief for them.
But tis but a season that we must wait to hold them again,
A reunion blessed with inconceivable love and a promise so true...
Never to be parted again, together for eternity within each others love.

    Hoodwinked!

This is a poignant and beautiful poem meant to comfort those who grieve loss of a loved one. I believe it does just that.

I find special comfort in these words:
"Death is a messenger who wraps the dying in Jesus' love,
Cradles them in comfort and joy abounding, removing all earthly strife."

    Beautifully written.
