I can see the lies in your eyes,
When you tell me you haven't been with her.
You smell of her perfume,
And those marks on your neck aren't from me.
I'll kiss you goodbye,
But close your eyes please,
So I can make myself believe it'll all be ok.
Author notes
"Close your eyes when you kiss me, So I don't see the lies that live there"

Beautifully strong and full of eomtion in brevity...lies are something we all believe when we are in love, for we are blinded by them...thank you for sharing...

This is fantastic! The last part stands out to me and goes back to the beginning line...it's easier to believe lies when you can't look into their eyes.
Bravo!
