If words are a gift, and gifts should be shared,
We would give our precious words to all that cared.
But some of us are selfish and begrudging,
In their narcissism, they are not budging.
But some, like us, are happy to share,
Because your act of kindness, makes a difference here and there.

I feel the last line needs work though.

I think of your words in the aspect of comments. We all like it when people critique our work and show appreciation. Especially it it is in their own words and not just a cut and paste of our work. This is well said and a nice reminder.

The flow is staggered and could do with reworking, but the thoughts expressed are excellent. Sharing is what poetry should be about.
