I am awake,
Dreading new fears.
With storm clouds looming,

And yet, I face it
Every day.
I smile;
No one looks past.
I seek exposure;
I do not wish to hide.
And yet, I fake it

I wonder:
Is there meaning?
Have I lost my sight?
Where has my purpose gone?
And yet, I find it
Every day.
Author notes
One of my favorite songs is "Everyday" by Carli Commando. It's a single, and it's also instrumental (and yes, it was featured in a Halo commercial). No real part inspired me, but the whole piece is very moving.

It is funny how sometimes things like a smiple song can inspire us and I thought you took the inspiration really well to make a lovely piece. I thought your use of repetition was really good and I liked the use of the questions in the fifth stanza, that really showed the way we often start to question everything, including ourselves. Great Work x
