Standing on a cliff, eyes cast down,
heartbroken by the bloodied battle.
The war being transition, the enemy
being depression and oppression.
She fights her way through
hordes of obstacles,
finding herself along the way.
This battle is a hard one,
the famed battles of teenage
anxiety and angst.
Not all survive, some are broken,
some abandoned, some give up.
But not her, for in her heart,
she knows she is
victorious.
