Shy eyes peeking out
from behind feathers
of white lace.
Eyes lined in black
to disprove
her innocence.
Always trying to be
The peacock among
brown sparrow.
Not going to work.
Always going to be
the wierd.
Outside the norm.
Always on the outside.
The first to be seen
by the predators.
She dances to show them
she an be just like them.
But she never will.
She's too stunning.
Too beautiful.
They are jealous.
So she will never be
like them.
But will always have
her white feathers of lace
to hide behind.

I like this as a reference to your feelings and perception of yourself. I like the shy eyes outlined in black trying to be a peacock outside the norm, but on the periphery hiding behind white feathers. Thank you for your entry of trying to find the balance from standing out and fitting in.

I really like this. It's exceptionally beautiful. Good luck in the contest.
