Lord, I am a shattered dish,
broken in so many ways that
just drawing breath takes effort.
I know that others have trod
this same path and yet
knowing that makes my journey
no less arduous.
Give me courage to meet this
difficult trial and faith—
enough to believe that
in the end You
will make all things right.
Let me draw strength from
friends, family, and strangers
And be strength for my children
until we are made whole again.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Thank You
Oh I loved this for you met me in my pain with acceptance but yet your poem is so encouraging too. I'm reaching out and you reached out to me and this is one of the ways that I will be able to make it. Is from people like you who share their hearts and encouragement for the one whom still suffers. Beautiful and thank you for your prayers. Thank you for entering and best of luck in the contest.
Many Blessings
Much Love

Beautiful, BellaD.
Knowing and insightful "broken in so many ways that just drawing breath takes effort." Definitely, the journey is "arduous." The prayer for courage is a daily, or hourly or constant necessity through the grieving period.
Insightful "let me draw strength...and be strength for my children until we are made whole again."
