Polar Shift - Solar Rift

Missing image

WhenTruth speaks
what do you hear -
an echo from your heart?
Or the rattling of
your chosen cage!

If you bite or turn away
Hands of Love intended
what is revealed
but just your fear
in blinded rage
that clings
to the old familiar comfort
of that wide, well-travelled road

Consoled in community
your prejudice
Praised as peace-loving
your
hate & fear
of the Few
Bringers
&
Deliverers
to and from
The
Paradigm
Shift
to
 Rift through

-  The New  -

- The True -

and

- Terrifying  -

to the field of physical phenomena but also represents
a fundamental law of human thought.
As such it is an even more powerful factor in

As you've said. It is difficult to detour from that well worn wide rut of a road for most. Yet such profound wisdom speaks through these well defined lines of verse as sound solid advice gifted by this author.

Once we learn how to change such amazing things can come just as you more or less said if we accept it..

Fear is a chaotic emotion. It makes people do the irrational like biting those trying to help or not running when facing a coming threat. While change is often good, it does tend to raise the old anxiety level. I like the way this was formatted and the big blue words at beginning and end. The message too rings true...

    Thank you, Edna!
I only capitalize certain words or terms to emphasize a more profound or significant meaning. I am in good company, as I discovered, with Emily Dickinson

Literate and intelligent. A bit obscure for me and not as controversial as might have been hoped. Great graphics. Maybe a bit over-the-top in the use of capital letters. Thank you!

    A poem of wisdom

A change in view as to what underlies rational and scientifiuc thought today, a debunking of dogma, that is the truth of every AGE - A PARIDIGMATIC SHIFT. GENNELLE, YOU EXCEL VERY WELL I DARE TELL HOW IT ONCE BEFELL WE WALKED IN DARKNESS THEN IN LIGHT. I am amused when I look at the terror on thew faces of some diehards when I tell therm that Christ was a modernist; a rerligiuous liberal and avant garde thinker for His day - yes, either rage or terror I see. Thank you 'queenowisdom'.

Hmmm...now THIS was something unique and rather a change of pace, lol. That last few lines hit me just the right way, giving the piece a nice finale saturated by energy and enthusiasm...something that has been lacking in most of the entries so far, lol. However, the middle part seemed to lag just a tad bit and seemed to only build up towards the end. So I'd be honest and say that the first part was...nahhh...but the last was...oooh yeah! lol Not too shabby a'tall...plus that background ROCKED something fierce!

The message here is strong, although I think I liked your other piece better. Personally, I'm not a fan of one-word lines... but again, that's just personal preference.

We are always changing, through time, space in and outside. There is no way to avoid it, even those who chose to close their minds still have to face the changing in their bodies and in the world. If even the shapes of rocs change, will can't we?
    An outstanding poem Gennelle!

I read this again, and it astounds me how aryticulate you are in such few words abou such compex matters. I can see why you love the haiku. I am surprised you do not write more modern ones. And he senyrus- woh they'd be scathing in their irony. Keep writing, and I will most definitely keep reading.

mini nagi comment was just so humurous. I loved it. It made me chuckle. (I will silently applaud it, lol). I think it hit the thought process of my husband very well, lol. Okay, this is a magnificent write about paradigm shift, and the dreaded but neccesary change we all must go through in order to grow in life. (Though it is true that some people ressist them and don't seem to...but they do- unfortunately though dragged through them). I always found this to be a very inspirational process, and longed for these times. But yeah they are hard on those around you- especially if they are the type that resist in themselves. You speak so beautifully on this topic, and your comments are very enlightening. This background too is simply amazing...it gives the most interesting 3D effect I have seen on nay backgrounds- I love it.

Thanks Dee! I thought for a minute there you had clicked in and decided not to comment...I should have realized you wouldn't do that...you spend time Yes, the literal polar shifts have happened many times in the past...and may well do so again. Man's attitude and behaviour play a role in if, when, or how severely such things occur. We are interconnected with our cosmic surroundings...so few realize we can minimize even cataclysmic events (physical and spiritual) by collective changes in attitude. The one thing we each have absolute control over, is our attitude. Thank you for your great comment
    Dee, much appreciated.

    Fertile ground

It is past one eh-hem in the wee exhausted hours of the morning just after the birth of a new day, still unable to see much, but after a sleep, able to grow some more. A brave new day.

Why do we look on change as a bad thing? I can honestly say that almost all my changes have made things better. There have been dark times in the past, and change has dealt with them. No matter how bad, when it can no longer get worse, change!

I too thought of polar shift as the imperceptible movement of the north magnetic pole which no longer is where it was even thirty years ago. Life did not end as changes came in the past. Fossilized palms and tropical ferntrees have been found in Iceland, and woolly mammoths roamed the Siberian flats. Changes in climate have been continuous and inevitable; we have as a species, adapted to such slow change.

It is the cataclysmic polar reversal, like an iceberg rolling over, that has been predicted in the distant but obvious future. It has happened before, as geologic evidence shows, and Life was not destroyed--or what are we doing here?

My original premise, that change can also be beneficial certainly seems to have been so in the past. we will not be here anymore then, nor will the multiple generations of our descendants, but there is lots of time to get ready, if not in body, then certainly in spirit.

See what your poem inspired me to do! And now I will change and go find my pillow! Good night Maatkara and All! --Dee

PS Don't be so impationt, Maatkara! Even bread takes time to bake.

Thank you Rage! Your sagacity and understanding is a balm to my soul
The birth of a new consciousness is indeed a painful process, whether individually or collectively. I was always struck by the use of the 'woman in travail' metaphor by the Prophets to describe changes in the world and spirit. As a mother I can relate even more, for what has been brought to the point of 'becoming', cannot be stopped - by anything! The new life will come into the world, however long, or terrible, the 'labour'. Then... Joy!
    Love & Light,

Change is a phenomenon we can never stop in the continuum of space and time. It is the built-in mechanism of the structure that will help us to return to our destiny that is our origin. no matter how intensely we dislike change, regardless of the suffering and despair it brings, we have to live through it in order to travel toward our destiny. We may be in a way victims of measure and time, but we are in no way blameless; we could have done much more to avoid the aginy now terrorizing this world, but we chose not to. For this we have to take the consequence among an infinite array of changes that take place inside and outside us. Rarely did I see so perceptively and powerfully expressed the essence and necessity of change. Thank you,

    Rage

It's the 'rift' and 'shift so needed in the soul, spirit, and mind...a metaphor in the title, the rest is self explanatory.

To be honest, I'm lost on this one... its me, I'm like this first thing in the morning... When I read the title, I thought it's some thing to do with global warming... Solar Shift, Polar Rift... hence, due to the depletion of solar system, the Polar has rifted apart ie change is taking place, which is true and terryfying... very deep and well written... thanx for sharing...

    True

Change always asks a willing heart, much courage, and trust. And in Faith, the only companions one may have, when left by all of the world, is Love and Hope.

    Well written piece.

    Hugs.

    Great

Excellent sentiment and choice of words! When we are in self congratulating company we are on "that wide, well-travelled road". The narrow gate requires a ticket that says "Admit One".
In general I don't admire free verse, but that's me.

Thank you, Acounselor, and my poetic friends! Thanks to my muse from the One True Poet, the Source of all Inspiration. As promised, Acounselor, here's Emily Dickinson's perfect perspective (and mine) on your last compliment...

    I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you -- Nobody -- Too?
Then there's a pair of us!
    Don't tell! they'd advertise -- you know!

How dreary -- to be -- Somebody!
    How public -- like a Frog --
To tell one's name -- the livelong June --
    To an admiring Bog!

    Don't you just love that?!

    Profound

Most appropriate for the New Years. So true also, for writers who allow their work to be placed upon the critics box. Hahaha If paradigms can't shift here we are all to be most pitied. This was a steak that I chewed on for a while until I found myself greedily sucking marrow. You could make a living at this!
