Rat Bastard

Swinging
the arc of a pendulum
engorged like the **** of another life
musty and damp
the shadow world of cobwebs and genocide
my thoughts are perverse
but I'm not ashamed
It's a game for the fools
and I play it so well
Somebody asked "what the fuck is that smell"
it's the scent of destruction
  and decomposing flesh
building a wall with the bodies of the dead
tear it all down and lets begin it again
the paths are the same
  for the road never ends
Rat bastards spread the plague
and I'm a flea on the back of a dying dog
listening to a politician speak
fills me with the urge to defecate
Seattle at night when the riots raged
singing the song of a dying age
  "Swing low sweet chariot..."
coming for to drop a bomb
fire can burn but it also can purge
sterilized needles and alcohol swabs
wiping the ass of America
I just dropped a turd the size of the Goodyear blimp
our values a lie and the offer a pimp
I'm not afraid to admit I'm a whore
sell my self for guns and ammo
tonka trucks, and big screen TVs
we're all bent over, most just don't realize
because the lube that is used makes it all so smooth
in the land of the fee and the home of the strange
false outrage is the mode of the day
if we really gave a shit
  we'd burn this mother down

**** Why is this word is blank?
Apart from that this is a commendable poem about the struggle of the little man regailing against the system which; unfortunately will always win the only real way to win is to either join them or die.
if you join them then you lose all self respect and may as well be dead anyway.
So I say fuck them at every given opportunity.

bwahahaha. reminds me of one i wrote, "dear america fuck you." cept mine wasnt nearly so good and ended up sliding into inflated ego nonsense. its true, and no, most dont see it. "if youre not outraged, youre not paying attention." aside from all that about the message, this is a well written peice. its harsh and a bit satirical. i like the flow and boldness of it. this was really good. thank you.

Your words are full of venom. They also reflect the little guy who has something to say but it won't be heard. Well maybe it will be heard? We never know when something will light a fire in some soul who can actually do something about things. You made some interesting choices here at least for me. I lie in the background and write about myself rather than the big picture or even marginally large photo. You chose here to jump or leap onto the screen and make yourself the center of what you think. There is even a call to action from the cheap seats. I applaud the effort and find myself perhaps lacking in your fervor not due to the relevance but to my own agenda. Congrats on stepping away from your normal mode and striking a chord with all who feel the same as you. RC

Wow! Angry words this evening. I think it's the schyzophrenia of the modern world that drives us crazy, offers us something with one hand, then makes us aware just what a bad move we made to take it! We are the world though and as we become more conscious, things have to change. Great rant!

Hmmm feeling a bit testy today are we? I love this - filled with self rightous anger! We need more people to get angry at the crap that's going on but unfortnately, we're outnumbered by the lemmings... Still, this was a great rant poem and I thoroughly enjoyed the read...
