listen to the whippoorwills,
as they sing their sweet serenade
to the breaking morn.
concentrate on the sigh
resonating through your heart,
let the chaos drift on by.
understand that the notion,
dreams and reality cannot co-exist
is nothing more than fallacy.
remember times when the rain
has tumbled down relentlessly,
yet you barely felt one drop against your skin.
then there's the strange sensation,
that someone is holding your hand,
when you know you're completely alone.
all of these things you cannot explain,
the feeling of utter safety despite being unnerved,
are signs an angel is connecting with your soul.
let them walk in silence, following your footsteps,
as they gather the falling leaves around you,
to weave into a blanket of faith.
as they sing their sweet serenade
to the breaking morn.
concentrate on the sigh
resonating through your heart,
let the chaos drift on by.
understand that the notion,
dreams and reality cannot co-exist
is nothing more than fallacy.
remember times when the rain
has tumbled down relentlessly,
yet you barely felt one drop against your skin.
then there's the strange sensation,
that someone is holding your hand,
when you know you're completely alone.
all of these things you cannot explain,
the feeling of utter safety despite being unnerved,
are signs an angel is connecting with your soul.
let them walk in silence, following your footsteps,
as they gather the falling leaves around you,
to weave into a blanket of faith.
Author notes
"Ever felt an angel's breath in the gentle breeze? A teardrop in the falling rain? Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves? Or been kissed by a lone snowflake? Nature is an angel's favorite hiding place."
