My Goddess of Love

Missing image

She sweeps my heart,
as breakers wash sea foam to the shore,
rising up as Aphrodite,
wanting of no more,
not beauty, nor arresting charms,
her presence so compels,
my mortal mind to cease protests,
Fall before her spells.

Well aren't you just the romantic! I agree, your words make that picture look like a crayola drawing. Beautifully done.

    Good luck in the contest.

After reading your notes, I went to see the picture that inspired this poem. I must say that your poem is lovelier than the picture. I love, love poems and this one has all the elements of perfection in sentiment.

    Love,
    Amera♥
