A Shocking Confession

I have a confession.
I've fallen for a much younger man,
and I can tell this isn't a passing fancy.
I love him.
No, we've never met face-to-face,
but I plan to meet him in August,
if he can't come any earlier.

I can tell he's the kind who will keep me up at night,
though really we've only communicated through Morse code so far.
He knocks, and sometimes I answer.
There's a place inside of me he fills,
and I'm willing to go through torture to see him.
Nothing will stop this now,
all that's left is the wait.

I'm afraid and I'm giddy.
I can't wait to hold him close,
my sweet little baby.

Author notes

Our third son is due in August, and I'm so anxious to meet this little man!!

This is a great poem and it takes almost a few reads to see that the sweet little baby is one that's expected. Good luck in my contest.

There is a secret inside. We knock sometimes! I like that, having gave birth to 5 (2 sets of twins), and a single. I was rather busy with that morse code. The wait was agonizing, but when they finally came it was great. Congrad's and good luck! ~Sie

Oh. This is such a cute little poem that you have going on here. I thought it was such a fun way to write about the upcoming birth of your son. I think this is the kind of poem that should be put right into his baby book for him. It's just so cute and loving. I thought you did a good job of expressing yourself here.
