Hide and Seek

Do you feel my whisper on your lips
                            as I sway with the wind around you?
    Do you feel my fingers caress your cheek
                            as I mirror every motion you make?
        Even though I’ve passed I can’t let you go,
                          so now I’ve become everything to surround you.


The leaves falling at your feet
                              are me falling around you.
    The flowers blooming in your backyard
                                  are me opening my heart to you.
        The sun’s heat against your neck
                                  is my warm, gentle touch.
            The first snow each winter to come
                                  will be the tears I cry for you, frozen in Mother Nature’s grasp.


Even when the storm comes,
                          I’m the lightening brightening the skies in hopes you’ll see me.
      Even when the rain pours,
                              I’m the rainbow at the end hoping to lift your spirits.
                  Everywhere you are is everything I am
                                  I will forever be the angel dancing through tree for you.
