Tortured souls attest
This brutal world we live in
The culture that has engulfed us
Threatening to destroy us
Indigent tribes of the jungle
Seem so barbaric
But maybe so pure instead
So innocent, free of modern sin
Word of God speak
And pour down like rain
Wash away what warps us
Make us clean once again
Teach us, retrain us
Flood us with the blood of the Lamb
Bathe us in humbleness
Make us see our own scam
Let the white dove fly
Remind us of your love
Make us want to turn away from the depression
To want to be part of Heaven above
To all who surround
See what you really have
A chance at eternity
A chance at love
Author notes
Seems a little religious, I know. It was written for my grandmother who has a deep relationship with god.
