Inspirations spilling forth
from the chasm of my speech
Beautiful sounds
Gorgeous syllables
Pleasant letters
jumbled together
a chaos made sound.
Your ears eagerly devour
the music displayed to them
and that music is passed
deep, down into the heart.
Such sweet truth the naivee heart believes!
Such a beautiful lie my heart contemplates!
The stabbing hurt of truth
creeps at the back of my tongue,
ready to destroy.
Better is it,
to build up on the false,
than bring down in the fact?
Author notes
Ralph Waldo Emerson:
Truth is beautiful, without doubt; but so are lies.
