Look in the mirror and see
I am dying because of you.
    Tears fall-- ruining your make up
you growl, frustrated...
You'll have to fix it later.

The mirror cracks
and you shatter
    into a million broken pieces
that can never be put back together as
you swallow "one more" pill.

You know what you are doing
and yet, you do it anyway
    And though i scream for you to stop
my cries-- my pleas-- fall
on deaf ears.


I am dying because you
are not strong enough
    To put the bottle down and throw the pills away
To save youself
and me.
