In the days when
you brushed my skin
our composure turned
to giggles
Our nature of seriousness
was forever hushed
by the childish kisses
that were placed on my lips
Hugs were security
likes the blankets pulled
over our heads to protect us
from monsters in the dark
Love like a child's
is love so unconditional
it never ceases to grow
like our hearts,
still so young.
