Against the establishment
But roll over like a little bitch
When the Burning Bush snaps his fingers
What terrorist ear malingers?
Projectile menstruation
Cheesy guitar solos
Melting holes of insanity in the brain
What righteous disdain!
Puppies bark in the dark
Chewing on curled shoes
The jingling of jesters' bells
The pride in our hearts swells
Like some bloated McDonald's customer
Celebrating an execution
With a giant pile of Freedom Fries... and a Diet Coke
We don't strain under the yoke
We don't see.
And we don't hear the torture
Across the sea.

'For US interrogators seeking to disorientate and break Iraqi prisoners it's 'torture lite' - rock music played at excruciating volumes. But while the song choices may sometimes verge on the unintentionally funny, this appropriation of music by the military is anything but a joke'.
What is the crazy?

This is superb. I love how your anger and cynicism breaks through this poem like an angry river breaking through a damn. I like stanza four and how you use an American symbol in such a twisted way.

staggering...
...fantastic summary and reaction to a disgusting practice. James Hetfield (and I liked the dude) should be ashamed of himself.

The crazy is all too stoopid
I think they should maybe play some Britney Spears... Now THAT is torture.
Seriously though - what dumbass stuff will they think of next? If I was an artist I'd be well pissed if my stuff was being used for such things. What the hell happened to the UN? Last I knew torture of any sort was against every damn policy going? -
Well written as usual. Clever and funny. I can't say that I will ever give the topic another thought because I have bigger fish to "Freedom fry."

apparently, Eminem is a fave'
there's a rumour that Bomb The Bass are bringing an album out to highlight the plight of torture victims, called Now That's What I Call Torture Music, vol 1

I feel your anger, and I like this very much. But I'm reminded that war is hell. While were playing unbearable music at high volumes, others are cutting off heads, and plotting attacks against people who have absolutely nothing to do with the gross injustices enacted by their governments. Bush is an asshole, the war is a lie, but the enemy is real, and I feel no pity for a man (or woman) who would kill an innocent stranger to make a point.
