Do you remember
Those moments as a child,
held close, loved and complete?
When your worth was found
Not in what you could gain,
But in what you already had.
Not in things that can be bought,
But in those freely given.
Upon recollection
Are you willing to come,
Empty armed, torn and weeping?
Seeking that lost peace,
Let go of your ‘things’
And know true wealth.
For bread mingled with love,
Will surely feed the world.
Author notes
Mother Teresa was so self sacrificing, and an example to us all.

Such true words!
"When your worth was found
Not in what you could gain,
But in what you already had."
In my opinion, those are perhaps three of the strongest lines in the poem.
I also like: "Let go of your 'things' and know true wealth".
It's so sad when you see people completely obsessed with material things that perhaps don't last forever, when the more important things such as true love really do. Because 'things' don't cause for true happiness and in the end become immaterial.
Beautiful, beautiful write! -

Undoubtedly, the world is hungry for bread, but it is hungrier for LOVE If we want to feed the world, we must do it like a mother...mingling love and bread:
"For bread mingled with love,
Will surely feed the world."
Love is the solution to most of our problems around the globe. Let love prevail!
