They came in crowds
tens of thousands marched
hands across the world
all united in peace
voicing slogans of, ‘ No War’.
Mothers pushing babes in prams
fathers carrying children on shoulders.
Yet, when bombs and missiles hit targets
Silence, deafening, screaming, Silence!
The day the united became the lost.

Wow this is a scary
image you paint with this. I have often thought what would it be like if enough people made this kind of an effort for peace, but your probably right there would be someone somewhere there to ruin it all. good write

Thank You!!
Thank You for Your entry: The Lost
This piece tugged hard at Spirit and while I was reading which I did several times~ I kept being shown Burma- when the Monks marched and were beaten down- really sad situation also senseless the violence against the peaceful march~ Strong message You have brought to the surface- Also being given word: Israel-
hearing words: Help Me- and being shown a person trapped under debris from missile fire- child- it was like the child was playing in an abandoned building- being curious and it happened to have collapsed
Also being shown a banana- like fried banana- I'm being given~ words: Puerto Rican- also hearing phrase: Know Your roots...as if dig deeper- You will be amazed
Hopefully that makes some sense
Powerful images You have brought forth
These words grabbed and pulled~
Silence, deafening, screaming, Silence!
The day the united became the lost.
Unique Voice spoken~
Thank You for sharing Your Heart also Spirit!
Best wishes to You in the contest Sweet Soul
**Judging will be done shortly...
Many blessings too
and much love & light~ Desire~*~

Amazing
Such a powerful piece this is! Worded perfectly to get the message out clear. The wishful thinking and the reality. Atruth among truths. Great job! Don
