Out in the middle of nowhere
In a place called heaven
It was so dark I couldn’t see the sky
And my heart was cold
I might as well have been naked
Standing there all alone
I couldn’t tell if I was dreaming
There was no one to talk to
A long, long time ago
I ran away from myself
Fell down in this empty place
And didn’t bother to get up
I still have faded nightmares
Of the bodies I have known
And the souls I tortured with my love
And the minds I broke into
Out in the middle of nowhere
The midnight quiet howls
I dance drunken with sorrow
Stained with broken hearts

This is a very deep and transfixing poem.
The detail is so vivid within your words
And the ending is very powerful.
Best of wishes to you.
