Outside, sun's belly is bidding her farewell
rain starts to fall
leisurely pouring horizontally,
silver in the dying sunlight
each drip drop, a colorful vignette
of touch and sentiment
memories of love that's never been
pigments that discolor my soul
Dancing shadows slowly creeping across the sky
leaves were moving like passing people,
restless and hurrying
somber branches swaying in tune of heavens tears
while greenery in the garden watching
odorous winds are weaving music of mournful sighs
silent reverie clutches me
Pouring of the rain brings you back
haunting my loveless dreams
plunging fingers in my somberness,
feeling your essence around me
a personification of my suffering
weariness shallows my body
mute grey clouds is my silent narrator
spilling lonesome illussions of loves tragedy
caressing tired thoughts
how will I face peaceful tomorrow
when most of times I tried to find you
everytime the rain falls
rain starts to fall
leisurely pouring horizontally,
silver in the dying sunlight
each drip drop, a colorful vignette
of touch and sentiment
memories of love that's never been
pigments that discolor my soul
Dancing shadows slowly creeping across the sky
leaves were moving like passing people,
restless and hurrying
somber branches swaying in tune of heavens tears
while greenery in the garden watching
odorous winds are weaving music of mournful sighs
silent reverie clutches me
Pouring of the rain brings you back
haunting my loveless dreams
plunging fingers in my somberness,
feeling your essence around me
a personification of my suffering
weariness shallows my body
mute grey clouds is my silent narrator
spilling lonesome illussions of loves tragedy
caressing tired thoughts
how will I face peaceful tomorrow
when most of times I tried to find you
everytime the rain falls

Sometimes even the most heavy torrential downfalls cannot fill the hollow void of a loveless existance.

wow!

The imagery is awesome and I really like the story.
The rain does have something magical to it and this poem personified it beautifully.
"leaves were moving like passing people,
restless and hurrying
somber branches swaying in tune of heavens tears"
such beautiful imagery as with the rest of the poem. I hope you do win something for this is a lovely poem. Good luck!
