in the sepia –
of her caramel dahlias
nests a mero inocencia
cradled in by her lashes…
`the sweet veleno
lying in the iris pool
[of hers]
wraps the beat of my heart
…in Romeo’s desire
and knits the umbels of love –
[with every breath]
Oh! I wish…
~ I could quill my desires
on the azure of heaven
b u t…
my yearnings seem all deathless
as whole of the Loire
…was not enough –
`to ink my words`
`` `
mero inocencia – pure innocence
veleno – poison

Captivating, that's what this poem is, there's a kind of dark serenity that imbues your words...an utterly beautiful write, I can see why it's a gold winner! Thank you for sharing this, and taking the time to enter my contest,

Humm..a poetry and the depth you amalgamated with the paint of beauty .,...well done..my thanks for such a wise entry in my contest...

An enjoyable write though I am not sure the sqaure brackets really add anything to it.
