she walks with her dress
so white and so pure
looking at her prince
thankful that he's there
she's been waiting so long
for this moment to come
but as soon as she blinks
her love slips from her hands
he walks in his uniform
concealing and armed
thinking of his love
hoping she's back home
his country he must serve
he must fight and defend
but he cannot blink now
life might be taken from his hands
he walks down the isle
of rubble and debree
she walks down the isle
of love and of hopes
she falls on the floor
emptying out her soul
as all stare with confusion
she can't take it anymore
he falls on the ground
he's bleeding, soon leaving
but he must make it through
he can't lose his girl
she walks down the isle
a smile on her face
he's standing there for her
awaiting her embrace
