Mending The Broken

Hold out your hand
Take this broken heart
Mend it as well as you can
Save it if you want

My world is shrouded in darkness
I am blind as I walk
Trying to find a way
Back home
Where I can chase away the shadows
And bring forth the light

To have the strength to live
I need first to fix what is broke
Gather the peices and place them in a bag
Give them to a willing soul and hope
Have faith that everything will turn out ok

A cracked smile reveals
A damaged soul enclosing
A broken heart that resulted from
A shattered mind which belongs
To a detached being
Who is myself

Will you be able to mend me?
Will you be able to save me?
Can you show me that there still is hope?
Can you help me get strong enough
To bring back the light into my world?

I can only hope
Put my faith in you
And bare with my struggles until
You can give me your answers
In the form of my healed heart

Author notes

I'm not even going to try and explain it. I think it's pretty clear on what it means.

Opinions are welcome.
