Morning has broken dreams fade away,
emptiness surrounds me break of day.
No longer laying here beside me,
still in my heart, I can't set your free.
Song bird still sings as new day arrives,
hear his sad song of two shattered lives.
Dread the sunrise, it shines not for me,
tearsdrops on my pillow fall silently.
Love departed but remains a deep scar,
etched in my mind thoughts drift afar.
Pain seems endless, move on, fall back,
peeks of sun then sky turns to black.
Need a reason to hold on till tonight,
in my dreams things will be alright.
The pain escapes me, the sun returns,
feel the heat of this torch that burns.
