Some nights I sit awake,
Just a floatin' on my cloud,
And up from the earth below,
Comes a sobbing prayer, real..loud.
"Please make sure, my baby's fine,
She's yours now, though she'll always be mine,
And If I close my eyes, to the count of nine,
I can see her face so clear...
She's yours now, though she'll always be mine,
Even as I pray through these tears..."
And I call back down,
"I'm watchin' over you,
Doin' a better job 'n' anyone'll ever do,
So don't you cry, don't you despair,
I'll always be there,
Watchin' over you"
And the tears they stop,
As she lays down,
With her face confused,
Between a smile, and a frown...
I don't know if she heard me,
And I can't ever be sure.
But if I keep watchin,
I know I'll find a cure,
For the sadness I always see...
I love her dearly,
And you'll know it's true,
If you just watch the things I do,
To make her feel her baby's fine,
Becuase I'm her angel,
and to me, she's mine...
so

From the heavens above,
With the tinyest voice,
So full of love,
"Mamma...

I wrote this for a friend... at least.. i'd like to be a friend to her in this time of need. It is my belief, that what i've written above, is very close to what is true as you read this.

this is just... wow. I could feel the sadness, and it just tugged at my heart. How sad is it to lose a loved one. But the words you had here, momma calling up to the stars, and then the child comforting her from up in the stars. I really liked this, thanks for your entry!

Not many times do I think people get to see this side of you. You care and many people I beleive would be surprised to see this side of you. Yet to me it comes as no surprise. Maybe because I see it every day or maybe just because I know its there. When you glow and were all alone your eyes speak clearly to me what you have shown so dearly here. Love you always.

so lots of people have written the same thing before.. so lots of people have hoped for what i give the reader here?... nothing is original anymore.. therefore.. nothing i write is any better than anyone's here..and therefore.. not really worth publishing.. i suppose if i worked hard on it i could make a publishable piece.. but i wrote this in five minutes.. -
