He sits alone, a man condemned
His final hour ticking by
He rues his life, he has no friends
Noone to hear his anguished cry
The medicine, it isn't working
The tumor grows and grows
He can feel death right there lurking
From his forehead to his toes
He has now made up his mind
At eleven it will be done
He knows exactly what they'll find
It won't be pretty, it won't be fun
The clock it ticks, the minutes fly
He wonders where he'll go
He hopes he'll go up to the sky
Instead of down below
His weariness is killing him
The time has come to say goodbye
The window of time is getting slim
He heaves a resigned sigh
The bongs of the clock count the score
The sound we hear is boom
His hand, it slumps down to the floor
An empty man in an empty room
