Lost in the swirling thoughts, in my mind
the images of vortexes somehow soothe me
as if they swirl the other way
Vast expanses of deep lapis blue
further ease my frazzled nerves
I long to fly through this sky
far above the houses and hovels
of reality
Fly away to places blurred edges
and softened lines yet
definite in their place of origin
as we all used to be
from the universe
and return to the universe
As I step away refreshed
and grateful
for the marvelous escape
from reality
thank you for the dream

Other than a couple of tiny grammatical mistakes (the use of "is" instead of "are" and "there" instead of "their.") this is quite pretty and calming. Thanks for the entry. I enjoyed it. ~ Joyce
